Digital & Communication Campaigns

From 2012 to 2016, I worked on numerous campaigns across the U.S. Some were political, including my time field organizing for Barack Obama in Colorado, crafting digital campaigns for OFA HQ Chicago, and leading digital strategy for Stevon Cook’s school board campaign in San Francisco. The other dozen campaigns I worked on were PR and marketing campaigns for companies in the clean energy, sustainability, and smart city industries.

I am currently the Outreach and Engagement chair of the Carnegie Mellon Graduate Student Assembly, where I run awareness campaigns – everything from mental health awareness to national education policy.

NC Start-up Bee Downtown Growth Campaign

Bee Downtown, an early-stage startup based in Durham, North Carolina, installs and maintains beehives on businesses' roofs. In early 2016 I worked with the founder to help grow the business across NC and support her efforts to seek venture funding. I did this by developing PR campaigns, marketing materials, and new business opportunities. Since that time, Bee Downtown has received funding from Engage Venture Fund. Bee Downtown now works with Chick-Fil-A, The Home Depot, Cox Enterprises and Delta.


Stevon Cook’s SF School Board Campaign

Thirty-one year old San Francisco native Stevon Cook had a powerful personal story. He was eager to find someone that could help broadcast his narrative on social media to increase supporter engagement and also help manage volunteers on the ground. What resulted was a digital campaign that was raw, personal, and inclusive

Climate Strong Campaign for OFA

For my  final project as an OFA fellow, I produced content for an advocacy group, ClimateSTRONG. I developed a digital campaign that targeted college students and young professionals in order to support ClimateSTRONG's efforts to fight climate change and call out climate deniers.
